We are looking for marketing interns to design and run the strategies that bring tutors and learners together on teachsomebody, and grow the platform's revenue. You will own real campaigns, see their results in our data, and learn how a two-sided marketplace grows.

Location

Fully remote, open to applicants worldwide

Duration

[3–6 months]

Hours

[e.g. 24–40 hours per week]

Start

Flexible

This role is open to two groups:

  • Final-year students looking for a graduation internship or graduation project in marketing, communication, business or a related field. We will work with your university on your project brief, learning goals and internship agreement.
  • Recent graduates (within about 12 months of graduating) who want hands-on marketing experience at a growing start-up before their next step.

What you will do

  • Research our audiences: tutors, content creators, teaching-resource sellers and learners, and the channels where each can be reached.
  • Help shape and test marketing strategies for both sides of the platform, with clear goals and metrics.
  • Find and contact potential tutors and creators through personalized outreach, communities, universities and partner organizations.
  • Help new tutors launch and promote their courses, live classes and resources.
  • Plan and create content: social media posts, short videos, blog articles and email campaigns.
  • Improve how our courses, blogs and discussions are found through search (SEO).
  • Set up and improve email flows such as welcome, onboarding and re-engagement series.
  • Track results (sign-ups, published courses, enrollments, revenue) and report what works and what doesn't.
  • For graduation interns: turn part of this work into a research-based graduation project agreed with your university.

What we are looking for

Must have

  • Final-year student or recent graduate in marketing, communication, business, media or a related field
  • Strong written English
  • Curiosity about how people learn online, and interest in education
  • Ability to work independently, plan your own week and communicate clearly in a remote team
  • Comfort with numbers: you want to know whether a campaign actually worked

Nice to have

  • Experience with social media, content creation, SEO or email marketing tools
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Experience as a tutor, teacher or online content creator
  • Knowledge of other languages or of education communities in the US, Europe, Africa or the Caribbean

What we offer

  • Real responsibility: your work goes live and directly affects the platform's growth.
  • Mentorship: a dedicated supervisor, weekly check-ins and regular feedback.
  • Fully remote and flexible: work from anywhere, with a few agreed hours of overlap with the team.
  • Support for your studies: help with your graduation project, learning goals and university paperwork.
  • A strong portfolio and reference: measurable results you can show future employers, a certificate of completion and a reference letter.
  • Free access to courses on teachsomebody.
  • Possibility of a longer collaboration for strong performers.
