Before you start
1-on-1 sessions use the same Live class tutor role as group classes. If you don't have it yet, open Live classes in the studio and send a request.
Group classes have fixed times you choose. With 1-on-1 sessions, learners pick a free time in your calendar and pay when they book.
Set up your offer
- Open 1-on-1 offer and press Offer 1-on-1 sessions.
- Under Your expertise, write a headline and tell learners what you can help with. Add the languages you teach in, your topics and a space.
- Under Sessions you offer, add one or more session types, each with a title, a length and a price. Sessions are always paid, because every session has video costs.
Choose your hours
- Under When you're available, check your time zone, then add your hours for each day of the week.
- Use Changes for specific dates for a day off or different hours on one date.
- Pick a break after each session, the minimum notice you need and how far ahead learners can book.
Learners see your hours in their own time zone. Times of your own group class sessions are kept free automatically.
Under Calendars, copy your calendar address and subscribe to it in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar to see your sessions there. Busy times in those calendars aren't checked, so block them with Changes for specific dates.
Packages and discount codes
- A package sells several sessions of one type together, usually for less. Learners book each session with a credit.
- Discount codes work for every session type. A 100% code books a session without payment.
Submit for review
Press Submit for review. Once a moderator approves your offer, learners find you under Live classes > 1-on-1 sessions and in search.
Bookings
New bookings appear in 1-on-1 bookings, and you get an email. Learners can book one time or the same time weekly.
- Join from your bookings: the room opens 10 minutes before the start.
- Both of you get reminders a day and an hour before.
- Add your sessions to your calendar app with the calendar address under Calendars, or one by one with Add to calendar.
- If the learner doesn't come, press Learner didn't join after the start.
Cancelling and moving sessions
The same rules apply to every session on the platform:
- Learners who cancel at least 24 hours ahead get a full refund, or their package credit back. Later cancellations aren't refunded.
- Learners can move a session once, at least 24 hours ahead.
- If you cancel, the learner always gets a full refund. Cancelling often makes learners less likely to book you.
Your earnings from sessions and packages are under Creator Earnings, with the same share as courses and live classes.
