Your learners and analytics

See who enrolled, message them, grade assignments and follow how your content is doing.

See who enrolled

Open the Registered students tab of a course or live class. It lists everyone who enrolled, newest first, with:

  • For courses: when they enrolled, their progress, and their assignment.
  • For live classes: when they enrolled and how many sessions they attended.

Above the list, a summary shows the number of enrolled students, their average progress, how many finished or haven't started yet, and how far they got in each section or session.

Learners complete a course section by opening it, and a live session by joining it.

Message your learners

  • Press Message next to a learner to write to them.
  • Press Message all students to write to everyone in the course or class at once, for example to share follow-up material or remind them of the next session.

Replies arrive in Messages in the studio.

Grade assignments

  1. In the course's Registered students tab, press Grade Assignment next to a learner.
  2. Read their answers, or download their files.
  3. Give Total Marks (out of 10), write your Feedback, and press Save grade.

The learner sees their mark and your feedback with their assignment. Collaborators who count as a tutor can grade too.

Make sure the assignment is visible to learners: turn on Show course assignment in the course's Publish tab.

Follow how your content is doing

Open Content analytics, choose the kind of content, then pick one of your published items. You'll see:

  • Unique views, and the Countries where visitors come from.
  • Active visitors per month.
  • For courses and live classes, also the Enrollments (paid and free), Revenue, student progress and reviews.
How views are counted
  • Each visitor counts once per item for unique views, and once per month for active visitors.
  • Visitors are recognised by their account when they're signed in, otherwise by their browser.
  • Your own views, and your collaborators', don't count.
  • Months are in UTC.

Get more learners

Bringing learners to your content is up to you. A few things that help:

  • A clear name and description. Say who it's for and what they'll be able to do afterwards.
  • A strong banner image. It's the first thing people see in listings.
  • Good categories and hash tags, so people find it when they browse and search.
  • Share the link with your network. Press View live in the editor to get it.
  • Discount codes and sales for launches and special occasions. See Set prices, discount codes and sales.
  • Show author information, so learners can see who you are and find your other work on the Contributors page.
