Earnings and payouts

How much you earn from each sale, and how to get paid by bank, PayPal or mobile money.

How much you earn

You earn 70% of every completed payment for the courses, live classes and shop products you authored. The platform keeps the rest.

  • You earn your share of what the buyer actually paid, so discount codes and sales lower it too.
  • Refunded and disputed payments don't count.
  • Earnings go to the item's author. If you published as a persona, they still go to you.

Example: a learner buys your 20 USD course with a 25% discount code. They pay 15 USD, and you earn 10.50 USD.

See your earnings

Open Earnings in the studio. It shows:

  • Your Total lifetime earnings, Earnings this month and Lifetime sales.
  • Monthly earnings across all content, as a chart.
  • A table of your paid items with their revenue and lifetime earnings. Select a row to see that item's monthly earnings.

Amounts in different currencies are shown separately. Months are in UTC.

Tell us how to pay you

Open Payout details and set up at least one way to be paid.

Bank account, with Stripe
  1. Under Bank payouts with Stripe, choose the Country of your bank account. This can't be changed later.
  2. Press Connect with Stripe and fill in Stripe's form.
  3. When Stripe has checked your details, the card shows Connected.

Your earnings are then paid into your Stripe account, and Stripe pays them into your bank. To change your bank details, press Open Stripe dashboard.

If the card asks you to Finish setting up with Stripe, open Stripe's form again and complete it. If you already have, Stripe is still checking your details.

PayPal or mobile money

Under How would you like to be paid?, choose your preferred method:

  • PayPal: enter the email address you sign in to PayPal with.
  • Mobile Money: choose your provider, and enter your mobile money number and the name the wallet is registered to, so we can check before paying.

You can add a backup method in case a payout to your preferred one fails. Press Save payout details.

Only you and the team members who handle payouts can see these details.

Getting paid

Our team pays out your earnings using the method you chose. Once you've earned something, the Your payouts section on Payout details shows what you're still owed, in each currency, and every payout with its amount, where it was paid to and its status:

  • Unconfirmed: on its way.
  • Paid: the money is in your account. For Stripe, it's in your Stripe account, and Stripe pays it into your bank.
  • Failed: nothing was paid, and the amount is back in your balance. Check your payout details.

If a sale is disputed after it was paid out, the amount is taken from your next payouts.
