What you can sell
The shop is for digital teaching resources you made yourself: lesson plans, worksheets, slide decks, templates and other materials. We take the payment and deliver the download, so you only need to upload the files.
Selling needs the Seller role. If you don't have it yet, open Shop products and press Ask for seller access. See Getting started as a creator.
Create a product
- Open Shop products and press Create a new product.
- In the Details tab, fill in:
- Title: say what it is, for example "Lesson plan templates for primary science".
- Summary: one line about what's inside.
- Description: what's included, who it's for and how to use it.
- Space, Categories and Hash tags: help buyers find it in the shop and in search.
- Upload a Cover image. It's shown on the shop card and the product page.
- Press Save changes.
Upload the files
Add the files buyers will download in the Files tab.
| Files per product | Up to 10 |
| Size per file | Up to 50 MB |
| File types | PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), text, CSV, Markdown, PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, MP3 and MP4 |
Archives (such as .zip), programs and older Office formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt) can't be sold. Save Office files in the newer formats first.
Every file is scanned for malware after it's uploaded. It shows Scanning for malware and then Ready, or Rejected if it can't be sold. Buyers of a product with more than one file download them together as one zip.
Set the price
Shop products are always paid. Set what buyers pay in the Pricing tab, and add discount codes if you like. See Set prices, discount codes and sales.
Submit it for review
Before you can submit, your product needs a title, a description, a price, and at least one file that's scanned and ready, with no files still uploading or being scanned.
- Open the Publish tab and press Submit for review.
- A moderator checks the product before it appears in the shop.
Press Withdraw to draft if you want to make changes while it's waiting.
Stop selling or delete a product
- Stop selling takes the product out of the shop and turns it back into a draft. People who bought it can still download it. To sell it again, submit it for review.
- Delete product removes the product and its files for good. Products someone has bought can't be deleted; stop selling them instead.
Selling under another name
You can sell under a persona instead of your own name. Buyers see the persona's name on the product page. On the payment page and the receipt, your own name is shown too, so buyers know who they're buying from. See Work with collaborators and personas.
